2011-2012 School Memories

Ainsley-This year my favorite field trip was the Earth Day movie. My favorite memory in the second grade year was when Mrs. Dubberke gave my brother, Beckham, a squishy. My favorite thing I learned about was biographies. At first I thought biographies were boring but then when I opened my first Who Was book I loved it! I also loved Ms. Boom (Miss Bodkin). She was our student teacher. We called her Ms. Boom because she said, "Boom" a lot. She was the best student teacher ever. I loved second grade.
Nick- My favorite field trip was when we went to the Zoo. My favorite thing we learned was about biographies. I loved having Miss Bodkin as a student teacher. I also loved Mrs. Dubberke as a teacher!
Izzie- My favorite field trip was the Science Center. I liked to read mysteries. I liked the Underground Railroad and Harriett Tubman too. I also liked learning about the planets.
Taylor-My favorite thing was when started reading the Who Was books. I LOVE them! I think they should make a Who Was Tim Tiebow?
Caleb- I think the funnest thing in second grade will be field day. I loved when we went to the Science Center too. I think mysteries are very cool. I LOVE 2nd grade!
Caleb M. -My favorite memory is when I read Do Not Open This. I also liked reading mysteries.
Payton-Mrs. Dubberke was a very good teacher. My favorite field trip was the Zoo. We read biographies. I learned about continents. One thing I learned was that Africa is not an island.
Tim-My favorite memory of second grade is the Who Was books. I also remembered our student teacher, Miss Bodkin. I loved learning about black history and all the continents.
Hope- This is Hope from Mrs. Dubberke's second grade class. I liked learning about the continents. We got to do cool stuff. I also liked reading biographies. It was cool because I liked to read the Who Was  books. I have read 7 and a half. My friend, Tim, has read 25.
Lexi- My favorite field trip was going to the Zoo. My best memory in second grade was when Miss Bodkin listened to our prayers and we cheered for her.
Josh- My favorite memory was the Apostles Creed 2nd Article. My favorite subject in school was P.E. I liked learning about space. I liked our student teacher, Miss Bodkin. I also liked the biographies and going to the Science Center.
Connor-I liked learning about the planets. My favorite planet is Jupiter because the great red spot is SO big. It can suck up two Earths.
Sadi-My favorite memory in second grade was the Who Was books. Another memory was when Miss Bodkin came to teach, she was fun! And my last favorite memory was Mrs. Dubberke!
P.S. My favorite field trip was the symphony!
Aly-My favorite memory is when Mrs. Knox, Sadi, Hope, Izzie and I were eating next to the horse stable on a field trip. I liked second grade because we had class pets. We learned about space. My favorite field trip was when we went to the Zoo.
Evan- My favorite memory is when we went to the Science Center. I liked reading mysteries during daily five, going to the library to get books and eating at lunch time.
