Hi my name is Sadi. I am in second grade in Mrs. Dubberke's class,

We have been learning about two very important presidents in our history. Their names are George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Did you know that George Washington was not president during the Revolutionary War? He was a General. Did you know that Abraham Lincoln didn't even go to school for a year? He actually went whenever he could. When he added up all the days that he went it added up to less than a year! Also George Washington only went to school for 7 to 8 years! Did you know that Abraham Lincoln's mom died from milk sickness? It must have been very tough for him and his family. George Washington's mom died only a few years before his dad died. When his dad died George went to Mount Vernon to live with his older brother Lawrence. When Abraham Lincoln grew up he married Mary Todd and they had two kids, one girl and one boy The boy was named Willy. He was so sick that he died at the age of six!!!!The whole family was heartbroken. Years later Abraham Lincoln got shot and killed. And then George Washington died from an illness. In second grade we have a learning fair coming up!!Our project for the learning fair is on states. My state that I have is on Alabama. There is a lot of interesting things that I learned. Alabama sounds like a fun place to visit. I hope you had a good Valentine's day! I know I did!
