Hi,I am Ashley! This week we learned about Christopher Columbus .He sailed the ocean blue in 1492. His father worked as a wool merchant. Christopher Columbus started sailing when he was 13. Later he asked the king and queen of Spain for money and boats. The boats names were Nina, Pinta and the Santa Maria. He wanted to find a different route to the Indies but he ran into the Bahamas. He found people who he called Indians because he thought he found the Indies. He made them work for them. Christopher Columbus was an explorer.
