Happy Friday! It's Mrs. Dubberke! I am home with a sick child today so I will be updating you on our week at school. Monday we celebrated President's Day with a day off . Tuesday we started off the week learning two digit subtraction with borrowing. On Wednesday we headed off to the symphony to learn how music is used to tell a story. It was a real treat! The children even dressed in their Sunday best! The characteristics of biographies were introduced and the children read about the life of Daniel Boone. In science we saw how the rotation, orbit, and tilt of the Earth cause day, night and the seasons! Wow, what an exciting week in second grade! Watch for more updates next week!
Blessings,
Mrs. Dubberke
