Cold Weather

Happy New Year! What a fun and busy week in second grade. We were visited by Miss Carley Lagere an education student from Liberty University in Virginia. We learned about Harriet Tubman, the Moses of the Underground Railroad and learned more about the water cycle. Watch for more updates next week from our class.

Wow! Your class is learning so much!!! The underground railroad is really cool. We have a church here in South Carolina that was a part of the underground railroad and you can go down into the hidden chamber and see where the slaves hid while they were running away.

Mrs. Dubbeke's Class,
I am almost finished with my trip and I will be traveling back to St. Louis Wednesday January 20,2010. I will fly on an airplane for a total of 17 hours. I have to take three seperate flights, one for 7 hours, one for 9 hours and one for 1 hour. See if you can guess how many miles I will fly to get home (hint - 17 times 500).
